Twilight star Cam Gigandet fired back at the lawsuit brought by his former landlord demanding $60,000 in alleged unpaid rent and other damages, In Touch can exclusively report.

On May 15, the actor, 42, filed a response, obtained by In Touch, to the lawsuit brought by Ronald Goldhammer, who leased Cam a home in 2022.

Cam denied all allegations of wrongdoing in the case accusing him of owing a five-figure sum to the landlord. His lawyer argued Cam’s conduct was, “reasonable, lawful and in good faith.”

Further, Cam’s lawyer said, “[Ronald’s] claims are barred, in whole or in part, because the conduct of [Cam] was not a substantial factor in bringing about [Ronald’s] alleged injuries and/or damages, if any, and therefore was not a contributing or proximate cause thereof.”

In addition, his lawyer alleged, “[Cam] is informed and believes and thereon alleges, he is excused from performance under the agreement alleged in the First Amended Complaint due to the acts, omissions, and/or material breaches of [Ronald] with respect to the matters and things alleged in the First Amended Complaint.”

The actor also claimed Ronald’s damages, if any, were directly or proximately caused by the wrongful conduct of a third party or parties.

Ronald sued Cam and his former wife, Dominique Geisendorff, demanding possession of an L.A. home he had rented them. He claimed the duo leased the property for one-year at the rate of $6,650 per month.

In his suit, he claimed, “Defendants have breached the lease in that they have failed to pay the entire rent from November 2023 through February 2024.”

In an amended suit, filed in June 2024, the landlord said he learned Cam and Dominique had vacated the home in April 2024.

His amended complaint no longer sought possession of the home but did ask for $60,000 in unpaid rent and other damages.

The suit alleged, “Defendants, thereafter, breached the lease by failing to pay the entire rent from November 2023 through February 2024. Plaintiff then served the notice on Defendants demanding payment or forfeiture of the lease. Defendants failed to pay the rent owed, but nevertheless, continued to occupy the [home].”

As In Touch first reported, Cam and Dominique settled their divorce in 2024.

Per the deal, Cam was awarded 100 percent interest in his business, a portion of his pension plan, his checking accounting with $6,380, another account with $280 and all earnings from the date of their separation.

Dominique was awarded her 2016 Range Rover, a checking account with $34, a portion of Cam’s pension plan, her clothing collection and various other items.

The exes agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their three children. Cam agreed to pay spousal support but it will be based on his income.

The order stated, “Cam shall provide Dominique monthly statements of income and shall provide any knowledge of upcoming work to Dominique as soon as possible.”

On top of that, Cam agreed to pay 50 percent of the $78,300 owed to the IRS and would pay a portion of the spousal support owed to his ex to cover her half of the debt. Cam also agreed to handle the $13,000 owed on an American Express, $15,000 owed on a Barclays credit card, another $20,000 on a third card, $17,000 owed on a loan, $60,000 owed to a relative for a personal loan and another $34,000 owed to a landlord.

Back in August 2022, Dominique filed for divorce from Cam after 13 years of marriage.

In her petition, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She listed the date of separation as May 1, 2022.
