Ike Barinholtz is becoming a man for all (television) seasons. As an actor, writer. creator, director, executive producer, and even game show icon it appears Barinholtz can do it all. And he is doing it all.

Currently starring with Seth Rogen in Apple TV +’s comedy hit The Studio in which he plays beleaguered production head and #2 to Rogen’s studio head, Sal Saperstein, and simultaneously competing against himself in the comedy Emmy category as EP, co-writer and co-creator of Netflix’s Running Point which stars Kate Hudson as a Jeanie Buss-type basketball team owner, Barinholtz is a key to the success of both shows which are not just Emmy-buzzed, but also both renewed for a second season.

Ike joins me today for the latest episode of my Deadline video series, Behind The Lens where we talk about both, plus a career that has seen him in various projects such as The Mindy Project as Nurse Moran Tookens and also as writer/story editor on the Mindy Kaling sitcom; seasons 8 – 12 of Mad TV; working with Mel Brooks on History Of The World Part II, and Norman Lear on the TV special reboot of All In The Family in which he played Meathead; his work in Amsterdam on Boom Chicago ; plus movies like Neighbors, Suicide Squad, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent; Blockers; Sisters; Bright; Late Night; Snatched; The Hunt; and as writer/producer/director/star of the still timely political comedy, The Oath, as well as co-writing the hit comedy, Central Intelligence.

We talk about all of this as well as his unique talents on celebrity game show competitions including both Celebrity Jeopardy and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (appearing with his father) where he won $1 million on each show for charity. Wow.
