The 2025 Tonys are set for Sunday, June 8 at Radio City Music Hall.
Who is hosting the 2025 Tony Awards?
Ahead of the release of Wicked: For Good this fall, Cynthia Erivo—a Tony winner in 2016 for her barnstorming performance in The Color Purple—will host the 2025 Tonys, taking over from Ariana DeBose.
“I am so proud and excited to take on this glorious honor,” Erivo said in a statement. “I am looking forward to ushering the theatre community at large through a night that celebrates the wonderful performances we have witnessed throughout the year. I hope I can rise to the occasion.”
Who is performing at the 2025 Tony Awards?
As in the past, audiences should expect (thrilling) live numbers from the nominated musicals. This year, that will mean selections from the casts of Buena Vista Social Club, Dead Outlaw, Death Becomes Her, Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Maybe Happy Ending, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Blvd., Just in Time, and Real Women Have Curves. The Broadway Inspirational Voices choir is also confirmed to take the stage.
Additionally, it was announced on May 29 that members of the original cast of Hamilton would reunite for a special performance during the June 8 ceremony, celebrating the 10th anniversary of that show’s historic Broadway debut. (It opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in August of 2015.) Set to appear? Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Ariana DeBose, Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Ephraim Sykes, and many others.
Who is presenting at the 2025 Tony Awards?
The starry lineup of presenters at Sunday’s ceremony will include Aaron Tveit, Adam Lambert, Alex Winter, Allison Janney, Ariana DeBose, Ben Stiller, Bryan Cranston, Carrie Preston, Charli D’Amelio, Danielle Brooks, Jean Smart, Jesse Eisenberg, Katie Holmes, Keanu Reeves, Kelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Lea Michele, Lea Salonga, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Michelle Williams, Oprah, Rachel Bay Jones, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Samuel L. Jackson, Sara Bareilles, and Sarah Paulson. Brian Stokes Mitchell will also serve as the broadcast’s announcer.
