EXCLUSIVE: Innovative Artists Entertainment has inked Australian actor and filmmaker Alex Russell in all areas.
Most recently, Russell starred on the CBS series S.W.A.T. across 129 episodes and toplined the critically acclaimed indie drama feature Under My Skin, which he also produced. The film debuted at the Raindance Film Festival, received nominations from both the AACTA Awards and the Australian Directors Guild, and took home the Alternative Spirit Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, as well as the Queer Screen Completion Fund from Mardi Gras Film Festival.
Upon graduating from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2008, Russell starred in the independent Australian feature film Wasted On The Young, which garnered much attention at Toronto International Film Festival and South by Southwest Film Festival.
Russell’s acting credits include the Josh Trank directed hit Chronicle which grossed over $126M on a $12M production cost, the Angelina Jolie directed WWII feature Unbroken which made over $161M WW, Only the Brave opposite Miles Teller, Jungle opposite Daniel Radcliffe and the remake of horror title Carrie opposite Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
Russell directed four episodes of S.W.A.T. and the shorts Come Correct and Love and Dating in LA!
