Lulu Wilson (Becky) has inked a deal to star alongside Stranger Things‘ Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone in an untitled Hulu comedy written and directed by Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, the comedy duo otherwise known as BriTANiK.
In the film announced last week, a group of college students order a pizza to their dorm, but after they accidentally ingest a home-made drug, their simple journey down two flights of stairs to retrieve it turns into a mind-bendingly transformative quest.
Wilson will play the smart, sarcastic and insecure Lizzy, who we first meet as one of the members of a vapid popular crowd. We quickly realize she’s hiding who she really is — someone obsessed with fantasy and board games — to fit in with these popular kids, and will do whatever it takes to remain in their good graces.
American High’s Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps will produce alongside All Things Comedy’s Billy Rosenberg, as well as Jason Zaro, with Matarazzo exec producing.
Best known for starring in the cult action thrillers Becky and The Wrath of Becky, Wilson recently wrapped the lead role in Hartbeat’s family sci-fi adventure flick Xeno and will next head to the set of the third and final installment in the Becky franchise.
A frequent collaborator of Mike Flanagan’s, on projects like Ouija: Origin of Evil, The Haunting of Hill House and The Fall of the House of Usher, Wilson’s other film credits include Annabelle: Creation, The Glorias, Wyrm, and Deliver Us from Evil. Other notable TV credits for the actress include Modern Love, Sharp Objects, and The Millers. She is represented by UTA, Authentic Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
