Season 2 of Prime Video’s hit YA series Maxton Hall – The World Between Us doesn’t land for six months but fans can already start getting excited for Season 3.

Prime Video has confirmed a third series of the smash boarding school series will take place, based on Save Us – the third book in Mona Kasten’s bestselling trilogy.

Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten will once again play the leading roles. As with the previous seasons, UFA Fiction will produce.

Maxton Hall, a German series set in an English boarding school, has been quite the record breaker for Prime Video, and Season 2 will drop November 7. That series unveiled premiere date and teaser trailer less than a week ago, as buzz continues to build.

Following star-crossed student lovers Ruby (Herbig-Matten) and James (Hardung), the recent teaser reveals there will be plenty more drama in the pair’s on-again, off-again relationship, as an angry Ruby watches on at James partying with other girls under blue strobe lighting. Back at their private school, James is seen being led away as he looks back longingly at Ruby, who’s wearing a pained expression. Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier and Eli Riccardi also return to the cast.

A new series accompanying last week’s trailer read: “Those who fly high can also fall low… After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby. But a stroke of fate in James’ family changes everything and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality. Ruby is devastated. She has never had such strong feelings for anyone as she does for James – and never before has anyone hurt her so deeply. She wants her old life back, where no one at Maxton Hall knew her yet and she wasn’t part of the elitist world of her classmates. But she can’t forget James – especially since he’s doing everything, he can to win her back.”

Martin Schreier (Traumfabrik) is again directing Maxton Hall, with producers including Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, who also acts as head writer. Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior are also screenwriters. Valentin Debleris once again is the producer for UFA Fiction. The series is supported by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF).
