After Machine Gun Kelly seemingly got flirty with Sydney Sweeney in Las Vegas last month, friends urged him to show more sensitivity toward ex Megan Fox, a source exclusively tells In Touch.
“Megan has just had his baby. The last thing she should have to be doing right now is stressing over what he’s posting or who he’s flirting with,” the insider says. “She went through a lot during the pregnancy, and it’s been an emotional roller-coaster. Now, she’s trying to focus on bonding with the baby and recovering, but MGK isn’t making it easy.”
Megan, 39, gave birth to her and MGK’s daughter, whose name has not yet been revealed, on March 27. Prior to welcoming their baby girl, the Transformers star and the “bloody valentine” singer, 35, called it quits on their on-and-off relationship in November 2024. The former couple is now focused on coparenting.
“She still loves him and doesn’t want to see him flirting with other women,” the source continues. “His argument is that he’s doing nothing wrong because things between them aren’t exactly traditional, but regardless of what label they want to put on this, the fact is they’re still spending a ton of time together, and the lines are very blurred.”
The insider says that Megan “tries to act tough,” but MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, is “obviously hurting her.”
“Her friends are furious and so frustrated that she’s letting herself be treated this way,” the source concludes. “They think she deserves far better and are begging her to put some distance between them for the sake of her sanity.”
MGK sparked romance rumors with Sydney, 27 — who recently ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino — when the two were spotted seemingly sharing a cozy moment at the opening of the Palm Tree Club at MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas in May. Video footage captured by a fan showed the rapper and Euphoria actress leaning in closely to chat with each other and sharing a hug.

Later, MGK took to Instagram to share photos from the outing, which also included The White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger. He took to the platform on May 22 with a carousel of “v important” images from his life recently, including a selfie with Sydney, Patrick, 31, and hairstylist Glen Oropeza. They appeared to be having a great time together, flashing smiles and peace signs.
Sydney had also shared a photo with MGK and Patrick on her Instagram Stories. In the snap, the actress posed in front of her pals with her hands on her hips as the “Emo Girl” singer flashed another peace sign and the Staircase actor smiled.
In MGK’s photo dump, he also included a rare selfie with his infant daughter strapped to his chest, hinting at his coparenting dynamic with Megan.
Megan announced her pregnancy on November 11, 2024, sharing a maternity photo in which she posed nude while covered in black ink. She also posted a photo of her positive pregnancy test.
“Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back,” the Jennifer’s Body actress captioned the post, referring to the miscarriage she had previously experienced with MGK.
One month later, TMZ reported that the pair had split over Thanksgiving weekend after Megan — who also shares kids Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex Brian Austin Green — found “upsetting” material on MGK’s phone during their trip in Vail, Colorado.
A source exclusively told In Touch at the time that although Megan and MGK have always had a “very tumultuous relationship,” this split “may have been the final straw for her.”
