Paris Jackson is opening up!

Following the world premiere of their new movie “One Spoon of Chocolate” at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday, Paris and her co-star Shameik Moore chatted with Access Hollywood’s Emily Orozco about the film’s message they hope will resonate with viewers.

“The way I explain the movie is it’s ‘Get Out’ meets ‘Rambo,’” Shameik shared. “There’s art in it just being so real … everybody is going to feel it’s real. That’s what movies are for. That’s what music is for. That’s what fashion and painting are in general. Creation as well as for is to evoke emotion. And regarding that, I think we nailed it for sure.”

“One Spoon of Chocolate,” which was written and directed by RZA, explores themes of love, trauma and healing and Paris revealed to Access Hollywood how she personally relates to her character Darla.

“It was really cool because there was a lot about my own personal life that I was able to bring to the character Darla. There was a lot of just myself that I was able to bring to the character, which made it very easy to do. And it was very easy to tap into the emotions of the character because Darla is I see her as more than just like a love interest,” Paris explained.

Adding, “Then I watched the movie, and my opinion of her and my perspective of her has begun to unfold more and shift. And I see her as more of a witness. And I, I’m able to relate to that a lot. And, it’s I think it’s important to have someone like her, as kind of an example of what the future can be.”

“One Spoon of Chocolate” premiered on June 8 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
