
Peacock‘s Crystal Lake rounds out its series regular cast with the addition of Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem), Cameron Scoggins (Shades of Blue, Nashville), and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
They join the previously announced stars Linda Cardellini and William Catlett in the Friday the 13th prequel series from Brad Caleb Kane, who will also serve as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. The show’s premise is being kept under wraps.
Cardellini will play Pamela Vorhees, mother of masked killer Jason Vorhees—as in, chee chee chee, ah, ah, ah—who was believed to have drowned as a boy in Crystal Lake but emerges years later seeking revenge for the murder of his serial killer mommy, Pamela. Betsy Palmer played the female antagonist in the first Friday the 13th film, released in 1980. The role has subsequently been played by Marilyn Poucher, Paula Shaw, and Nana Visitor in various sequels, crossovers, and reboot movies. Catlett will play a character named Levon Brooks.
Kessler will play Briana Brooks; Scoggins will play Dorf; and Sundstrom will play Grace.
Crystal Lake is executive produced by A24, Kane, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, and Stuart Manashil. Directors will include: Michael Lennox (101-103), who also executive produces, Celine Held, Logan George (104-106), and Quyen Tran (107-108).
Kessler is represented by Talentworks, Strand Entertainment, and Yorn Levine. Scoggins is represented by Nicolosi, Perennial Entertainment, and Shreck Rose Dapello. Sundstrom is represented by Coast to Coast Talent, Kyle Fritz Management,and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
