Andy Cohen teased he was filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion early on Thursday, June 5.
Later that day, Bravo released the cast seating chart, and two RHOA stars—Brit Eady and Kenya Moore—were missing.
Sitting next to Cohen were Porsha Williams on one side and Shamea Morton on the other side. Next to Williams was Phaedra Parks, followed by Cynthia Bailey. On the couch with Morton, Angela Oakley sat beside her, followed by Kelli Ferrell and Drew Sidora.
Some fans were looking forward to Moore returning to the show after her abrupt exit following an incident with Eady. Early on in the season, cameras captured the moment Moore shared alleged explicit photos of Eady during the grand opening of her hair spa. Production suspended Moore as they investigated the incident, and the star soon exited the show.
“I’m disappointed to not be a part of the RHOA 16 reunion taping today,” Moore shared in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “Please know that I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”
Moore is one of the most recognizable stars of the RHOA franchise, and alongside Porsha Williams, was leading a new generation of peaches following an extended hiatus to retool the cast. Things didn’t pan out that way as Williams found herself in the middle of this mess with Eady.
On her part, Eady skipped filming the reunion altogether and made a revelation about the explicit photo Moore showed at her event.
“As everyone is now aware, I’m not attending the reunion. This was my decision,” she said in a post on Instagram Stories. “The events of this season have devastated me, and while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me.”
Eady notes that she did not attend the event and didn’t see the photo Moore exposed in front of cameras, adding, “Based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me — which is why I reacted in the way that I did.”
“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” she said. “I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life.”
