Eric Dane and Jensen Ackles, who star in the upcoming action-packed series “The Countdown,” spent a lot of time together on set and bonded over their love of board games.

“Pictionary,” Eric told Access Hollywood at the show’s junket interview.

Jensen agreed, adding, “Games, there was a copious amounts of games that we played when they were setting up lighting set-ups and stuff. So anywhere from Pictionary to chess, we played at lot of chess. Trivial pursuit, we were doing Scattergories, we were throwing darts. You name it, guitar’s out, we were playing music.”

“It’s not like everyone was separate and we were going back to our trailers and doing our own thing. Everyone was together, everybody was having a good time. There were no lone wolves, it was just the team and that happened pretty quickly and very organically and it plays out on camera,” he continued.

Eric, who recently spoke out for the first time about his ALS diagnosis, gave an update on his health and reflected on telling his cast mates about his condition.

“I told Jensen early on, because I had known in November of 2024, I told Jensen very early on so he knew what he was dealing with,” Eric said.

He also shared how he feels about the responses he’s received since sharing his story.

“I have never seen such an outpouring of love and support then I have over the past few months, it’s been beautiful,” he said, adding, “I wish the circumstances were different but it’s nice to see.”

“The Countdown” premieres on June 25 on Prime.
